Old Hall Cutlery Canteen Robert Welch. Alveston is the classic pattern on this flatware and very elegant. It was designed by Robert Welch in the 1960s and won a coveted'Design Centre' award. The range included a full range of cutlery, together with accompanying items to dress the dining table - teapots, coffee pots, toast racks and everything else you might ever need. The cutlery featured satin finish handles and bowls, with gloss blades to the knives. 6 piece set of 50. In original green lined rosewood veneered canteen case. Stylish piece of collectable mid century stainless steel cutlery. The cutlery is used so does show signs of use with light surface scratches as you would expect but they have obviously been cared for. I noticed 2 of these forks are different - still old hall but may have been replaced at some point.
The case is in good general condition though there are signs of time related degeneration. There are some scratches on front and side and the base has some scrapes. What you see is what you get.
